As a former resident of Middletown, N.Y. and a graduate of Middletown High School, class of '80, many of my friends knew me as "Bobby." I went on to complete a four year degree(Bachelor of Science) at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz. Though I had intended on being a jet pilot as a career, somehow I always found myself involved in music and performed as the lead role as Nathan Detroit, in the Broadway play, "Guys and Dolls" in my senior year high school play with some very talented people. With entertainment in my veins the following excerpt will sum up my career path...(Frankly, I just didn't have it in me to write much so being that it has already been said I decided to cut and paste it into my bio)... "A native of New York, Roberto, with a heartfelt desire to create music, struggled to play the piano. Challenged by his peers during formal music training to compose original music, Roberto set out on a music career that would eventually associate him with some of the biggest names in American entertainment and international fame. Starting out as a percussionist at the age of 11, Roberto quickly adapted to the groove of the drums, often accompanying his older brother in his band. Later, the piano became the mainstay as the universal instrument where he would exercise his creative abilities writing both instrumental compositions as well as music with various lyrical styles. Roberto studied business and music and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music at the University of New York at New Paltz. He studied Music Theory and Composition under the award winning orchestral Composer and Conductor Gundaris Pone' and within a month of earning his degree, he boarded a jet bound for Los Angeles, California. Within a year of his arrival on the Hollywood music scene, Roberto landed his first professional studio job with Julio Iglesias at Capitol Records performing vocals on his album entitled, "Non Stop" which later sold over 25 million copies worldwide. Shortly thereafter, he found himself in the studio with such notable talents as Andrae' Crouch, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Thomas Dolby, and the list goes on. Another milestone was reached when he performed before millions on the prestigious Annual Grammy Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall. Yes, it has been a nice ride. I am currently involved in a few different business' and continue to pursue music and entertainment ventures. I am CEO of Media Center Entertainment Group and spend my spare time with my wife and children. I am very involved in songwriting and production and continue working in the field of packaging business deals related to real estate, finance and business consulting. Though I have lived in Los Angeles since 1985 for occupational reasons, many relatives still live in the Middletown area and I consider it my home base as I frequent it as often as I can. Middletown is a place with history. I have fond memories of my friends there and hope to one day contribute to the community in a positive way regardless of the distance, and perhaps to it's history as well. When I first graduated from college I flew out to Los Angeles and signed up with a temp agency. Within a few months I landed a job with a real estate partnership firm. After leaving that job, about thirteen months later I was in the music business. I have been involved ever since. The first five years was a great ride. UPDATE: May 2013 - It has been a few years since the first bio was posted. Today, I am please to report that now my entire family are throughly engaged in the entertainment industry. My three girls(Brittni 16, Chelsea and Brooke 13, identical twins) have their own singing group called, "UNIQUE" and my son Christian now 19, has performed in a number of music videos and currently is the Bass and Keyboard player for the international group, "ACTO." In the past five years they have all experienced significant success in Film and Television while they worked on their music skills. Even to my surprise, I am impressed on how they have embraced this wacky business. I think they like the "MALL" money from their work. They enjoy participating with many celebrities and have fun at Red Carpet events. They even have fun seeing each other on TV. They are favorites of Disney and continue to strive to make the best of everything they are doing. My wife(Talent Manager) is the driving force on that subjec...Expand for more
